This innovative accomplishment was a direct result of the exceptional work of Pointcore’s technical teams deploying a Dell/AMD backend platform refresh for our Epic environment. This upgrade significantly enhanced chart navigation for clinicians and patients, driving improvements in real-world efficiency. By reducing Epic response times by over 50% and improving database access speeds by 75%, the refresh gives providers faster access to information and supports better patient outcomes.
In addition to chart navigation speed, the platform refresh dramatically streamlines Epic system maintenance. Upgrade times were reduced by 85%, minimizing downtime and ensuring that systems remain stable, available and operational around the clock. With a 50% reduction in capital purchases and a 90% drop in maintenance costs, this solution offers both technical and financial scalability. It is projected that the upgrade will reduce annual maintenance costs by approximately $3.5 million over the next five years.
