Overview

Pointcore helped OSF HealthCare transform its historic Ministry Headquarters in downtown Peoria. This complex, adaptive preservation project focused on restoring and modernizing a landmark facility originally constructed in 1904, while carefully maintaining its architectural character and historic significance.

The exterior renovation included extensive tuckpointing, new terra cotta installation, GFRC spandrel panels, window replacement and custom aluminum castings while the interior scope introduced new structural steel, state-of-the-art mechanical systems, six modern elevators and high-end finishes. A key feature of the project is the seventh-floor executive space, where original plaster detailing and column capitals from the building’s original tearoom were carefully restored. Additional restoration work addressed existing plaster columns and two stairwells.

Through close coordination with preservation partners, designers and construction teams, Pointcore helped blend contemporary performance standards with historic craftsmanship, resulting in a facility that honors its legacy while supporting modern use.
