Overview

Pointcore served as program and construction manager for the expansion of a specialty pharmacy facility at the Integrated Distribution Center of OSF HealthCare. This project required tightly coordinated design and construction services since specialty pharmacies must meet complex operational, regulatory and storage requirements.

Initially, there was a misalignment between the design team and the pharmacy operators around workflow, equipment placement and regulatory needs. Pointcore addressed this by bringing all relevant stakeholders together, including a facility tour of a similar pharmacy which created clarity across the team, informed design modifications and improved operational functionality.

Through refined design coordination, value engineering and close collaboration with trade partners, the project team ensured the pharmacy expansion met both efficiency and compliance goals. Pointcore’s proactive approach kept the project on track, with the team completing it on time and under budget.
